10 Things Women Hate to Nag Their Man About

There appears to be an assumption in the minds of men that women enjoy nagging them about things. Most women on the other hand would tell you that they hate nagging their men about seemingly small things. Assuming the latter is correct, let’s look at ten of the things that women truly hate to nag their man about.

  1. Leaving the toilet seat up. This is definitely number one on the list. They put it up. They should put it back down afterwards. This is especially important at night when an unsuspecting woman may enter the bathroom in the dark.
  2. Using foul language. Too often men are used to using foul language when in the company of other men and this becomes a habit that carries over to the rest of their lives. If there are children within earshot, women instinctively know that those ‘new’ words will be quickly assimilated into an otherwise innocent vocabulary and feel obliged to remind their men of this fact.
  3. Calling/visiting their mother. This is another biggy. The woman knows that if the man in her life neglects contact with the woman who gave him birth, she is the one who will hear about it from his mother. She may then feel the need to remind him to be a dutiful son in order to avoid becoming the go-between for him and his mom.
  4. Leaving dirty dishes around the house. Unless the man is also the head of the kitchen, this is another common complaint. Where did all the glasses, coffee cups, spoons, etc. go? Worse yet is having to soak cereal bowls that have had leftover flakes dehydrating on their surface for several days or weeks.
  5. Leaving clothes lying around the house. Another common nagging issue involves clothing. The number one culprit seems to be his socks. He takes them off by the couch and leaves them lying there, oblivious to the fact that they do not fit with the rest of the décor.
  6. Tracking dirt into the house. This complaint comes in two forms, depending upon the house rules, and is usually a result of a quick trip into the house during projects in the garage or out of doors. One form would be ‘Why didn’t you wipe your feet?’ and the other would be ‘Why didn’t you take your shoes off?’ The issue remains the same, dirt on the floors that didn’t need to be there.
  7. Repairs around the house. For homeowners this is a big pet-peeve. Often times the woman would be quite willing to hire someone to fix the dripping faucet or re-stain the deck, but the man insists that he is capable and willing to take on the tasks himself (at a convenient time, of course). Again, the woman is forced to resort to nagging to get the tasks accomplished.
  8. Helping with the children. Getting more than one child ready for school or ready for bed can be a handful for any parent. Some parents have no choice but to take on the full task by themselves, but if there are two parents in the home, it only seems reasonable that the two should share in this responsibility. Why should the woman have to remind the man about this obvious fact?
  9. Yardwork. The exterior landscape of the home is what everyone in the neighborhood sees. It is also the first thing you see when you drive up the driveway at the end of each day. Why should the man have to be told that the grass needs to be cut?
  10. Walking the dog. If the woman is the owner of the dog, this is generally not a problem. However, if the man was in any way responsible for bringing the dog into the household, then the woman has the right to assume that he will also take responsibility for caring for the pet. When the dog is whining at the door, she really shouldn’t have to point it out to the gentleman sitting next to her on the couch.

Run through this list guys and it give it some consideration. Nagging is often preventable. It just might take a little more effort on your part.

First dates have caused their fair share of panic attacks and disappointments, as well as many initial connections that have lasted for many years to follow. There are several married couples that have many years in the relationship and can attribute their relationship to their first date which was so memorable it kept them enraptured throughout their lives. So what could these great dates be? Well, there are 10 awesome ideas for first dates that you could explore in order to find just where these first date impressions are coming from, or to devise your own special plan based on ideas that work whether you are trying to wow her off her feet, or treat him to a more modern type of chase.

  1. The beach. The beach may seem a little old-fashioned, but there is never a first date at the beach that doesn’t mesmerize in some way. Whether the scenes enrapture that special someone you are interested in, or the setting of a quiet and personal outdoors picnic in a very soothing environment wows him or her deeply, the beach is a great place to start a connection that you want to last.
  2. Sometimes an activity is best. There are so many people today that rather stay active on a date then sit around and sulk in the awkward first date experience. An activity is a great way to see how he or she has fun and can consist of anything from golf to the batting cage, and even surfing or sailing, or perhaps just shopping or dancing.
  3. Group events are great first interaction. Most people seem to unwind more and relax better around friends and loved ones that they have been out with before. When setting up the first date, having a group setting of mutual or close friends can lighten the mood and show how everyone acts around each other, letting you know if the relationship is destined for greatness.
  4. Local events are always brewing. The local events that go on around you are a great place to bring that first date in order to show how much you like having him or her around, as well as to enjoy some time out that provides several options for entertainment. Although you want to talk and get to know each other, the busier environment can be the most settling on such a date.
  5. Romantic dinners always wow. A nice romantic dinner is always a great idea for a first date when you are trying to enjoy a more serene and personal environment that not many people can share. Italian, Latin, and other exotic cuisines are great for the first date, with a price tag that is sure to impress.
  6. Local attractions. Local attractions are there for more than just the children or teenagers, as they can hold the right elements for the perfect first date. Taking that special someone to the museum or zoo can create a common interest and a perfect atmosphere to take in something new while getting to know someone new.
  7. Try your hand at cooking. If you are an avid cooker or even if you are one of those take-out masters, cooking can be a great way to anyone’s heart. As women these days can pursue the first date, this can be an easy step for you to take, while men have awesome resources online that can be used for cooking the perfect meal, showing that you care more than usual and are trying to impress.
  8. Sports games. Even though this seems like a men’s only event, women do enjoy having the honor of accompanying their date to something that is held so sacred to their guy. For the first date, this is a great way to see how she is going to react to your love of sports, while showing that you want her to be part of all you are.
  9. Crafts can be sensual. There are so many places that you can go to take in lessons in pottery, painting, and many other crafts as well, giving you a great place to take your date for the first date ever. Not only is crafts fun, but they can be extremely sensual when shared with a partner that you are interested in greatly.
  10. Outdoors escape. Making the first date a success can be a matter of where you go, and the outdoors always holds majestic beauty you just can’t get elsewhere. Taking your date to the local park for a secret picnic, or even driving and parking in a secluded place where you can share a glass of champagne can be extremely romantic and a great way to start the relationship off right.

First dates are always the most challenging as you aren’t quite sure just what is going to impress and what is going to depress your date. If you are open to new ideas, you can quickly find the perfect way to make that first moment together memorable and quite successful, leading to several great dates in the future.
